The Foundation Commission was established through the Constitution of Trinity Lutheran Church and is responsible for receiving, acknowledging, and managing gifts given to Trinity through estates and other methods of planned giving. The Commission also provides annual education about planned giving opportunities. Although the structure of the Foundation Commission was established by the 1988 Constitution, the first members of the Commission were not appointed until 1999.
While there are six appointed members of the Foundation Commission, they are only stewards of the gifts to Trinity. All funds are professionally invested and managed and the Foundation Commission operates under a set of Policies and Procedures that have been approved by the Trinity Council. All gifts are received, recognized and managed in accordance with the Foundation’s adopted policies and procedures, a copy of which is available in the Church office.
A current list of Foundation members is maintained in the Church office.
